Mayitshe community safety project

My story is about the people who stand together to fight crime in site (b) at Ut-section.Their aim is to reduce the rate of crime in Khayelitsha ,they work closely with the police.They patrol during the night starting at 8pm till 6am they search people who are walking around at night to see if they have any dangerous weapons,drugs and alcohol.They also stop parties that take place 24hrs all parties must end at 6pm not later.

they catch thugs/tsotsis' who are robberes and investigate the victim to make sure that the victim is satisfied by their actions by punishing those who misbehave,the robberes end up being sent to jail for what they did.The community members also report every problems they have to them before they go to the police station so that their problem can be solved faster.
